Happy New Year ~ 2012
We’re starting off the year with some exciting projects, and we’re already up to the Letter J in the Oxfam Globe in a Box curriculum.
Here’s a glimpse into the activities planned for the month:
J for Jungle – we’ll be looking at what takes place in a jungle and its importance as an ecosystem. If possible, a trip to the Conservatory will occur during the all ages time frame (after the service).
K for Kalahari – the topic here is the desert and all of it’s wonders – we’ll have fun making sand candles and getting creative with sand art.
L for LGBTQ – we’ll all work together on a rainbow banner for this year’s Pride parade in June.
M for Money – there will be no end to the ideas to discuss here – the King Midas story for a start, and how money works around the world.
