Colour Groups & Curricula

RE Colour Groups

Our Religious Education program is a cooperative program where all parents and members of the congregation are involved in the nurturing of our young attendees. In the interest of providing each young person with a fun and rewarding experience, we offer five groups with approximate age ranges listed below.  Depending on class numbers(usually 6-8 children per class) and volunteer support, we may adjust the group’s age range slightly.  If you are not sure where your child would fit best, please talk to the Director of Lifespan Learning.

Curriculum

This year, we are using Oxfam Canada’s Globe in a Box – an amazing resource which explores diverse themes from Alphabets to Zimbabwe.  The goal is to promote creative inquiry of the world’s issues and our place in the world. Each week we will explore a new idea and relate it back to one of the Unitarian Principles as well as  incorporating ideas and activities from a wide variety of sources, including our volunteers.
