Come join the Fool on the path of wonder and discovery. What happens when we open our eyes and minds and hearts to the sweetness and the sorrow of life? On this journey we will meet some of the characters from the Tarot deck, each of whom will have a challenge or insight to share with us. Organist: George Behr Service Leader: Janice Braden
Fellowship Sunday – Potluck to Follow
Speaker: Gen Kelsang Rabgye
If we fail to learn how to love others we shall not be able to develop compassion for them, and as a result we shall continuously harm others through actions of body, speech, and mind. Gen Kelsang Rabgye has been the Resident Teacher at the Samudra Buddhist Centre in Hamilton ON for nine years. He has been teaching Dharma for fourteen years. His teacher is the Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso and he follows the Kadampa Buddhism tradition. Rabgye will speak with us on the topic of love and guide us in meditation.

Throughout the week, and on any given Sunday, there are a lot of demands upon our time, our resources our commitments. As well, there are many other places where we could worship, where we could express and deepen our spiritual and ethical lives. Why do we come to the Unitarian Congregation of Saskatoon? Is there something uniquely compelling about this congregation and the Unitarian faith tradition that authentically claims our service, our time, talents and our commitment? Join us for a lively exploration of why we’re here (and not someplace else).

John has lived in Saskatchewan all his life. Since 1978 he has worked in forests and his first activist mission was in protecting them. In 1990 he began to create forest education programs, such as Nature Quest (in conjunction with Nature Saskatchewan) and the Saskatchewan Boreal Forest Learning Centre which bring people into the forest to learn more about it and themselves. With rich visual images, John will reveal the beauty and importance of our forests and illustrate the issues surrounding them. During this service, we will also observe Earth Day.
