Members of this Congregation are active in many non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that focus on the kinds of changes called ‘social action’. In addition, some members (and friends) are active in projects that are formally sponsored by the Congregation itself. The ‘Welcoming Congregation’ statement is a formal commitment to support for people of non-typical gender identities. It is the result of this Congregation’s participation in the UUA’s denomination-wide Welcoming Congregation Project.
